Kindness at Christmas and all year

I saw this on Facebook this morning and was reminded of last Christmas. We were going through a difficult time, mom had been in the hospital and I was staying round the clock with her. A few days before Christmas I ran over to Kmart to get a few supplies I would need to take care of her through Christmas. I didn't want to run out of anything on Christmas Day. I got my supplies and got in line. The lady in front of me looked around and smiled then she turned around again and told me to go ahead of her. I said no, but she kept on wanting me to go ahead. I thanked her. I guess I looked pretty sad with a buggy of medical supplies while everyone around had Christmas gifts. I stopped and thanked her again as I left. That small act of kindness meant so much to me that day and still a year later.
