This is another of the wonderful pictures which I received a few weeks ago from my Aunt's estate. It is small and appears to be in a homemade frame, the glass is broken. I don't want to take it out as it would destroy the frame and maybe the picture inside. The names are written around the picture. They are left to right J.J. Long 18, T.J. Newby 14, and D.H. Newby 24. D. H. (David Henry)Newby was my Great Grandfather Newby, he was born in 1868 so this picture would have been taken about 1892. T.J.(Thomas) Newby was his brother, and J.J. A priceless family treasure. I'm jealous that someone wrote the names for you. I have several photos in my collection and have no idea who they are.
Beautiful old photo, Harriet. Do you think you can find someone to restore that photo a little??? I'm sure there are places who can do that... It's a beautiful old photo --but you won't have it for too many more years if it keeps getting darker. Just my thoughts!!!!
