With temps still in the 90's it is hard to think about Fall, however, it should be at least 10 degrees cooler by now. This is one of my Dogwood trees, it usually is pretty in the fall with the changing color and the red berries but this year it is just turning brown. Even the berries are turning brown. Not sure how much color we will have this Fall, last time I heard were 10 inches behind on rainfall.

Holy Cow... That dogwood looks horrible. I am posting mine tomorrow --and it seems okay... But--you are right.. It's darn HOT here this week.
We do have big trees where the leaves are just turning brown and falling off....
I think we're about 7-8 inches behind in rainfall...

Betsy
Me again... I just thought that maybe our dogwood looks better because it is mostly in shade--most of the day. I guess...???
Hugs,
Betsy
I have heard that due to the lack of rain, our fall will not be as colorful. I hope that is wrong as I am hoping to be out on the water in my kayak for the fall colors this year.
Betsy, I have two Dogwoods and the other one seems ok. This one in the picture is close to a couple of large trees which maybe why it looks so bad.
Lindalee, Never been in a kayak but it sounds like a fun way to enjoy the fall colors.
