The man in this photo is my grandfather, John H. Ziegler. I believe this is the same girl in the photo yesterday. The back of this photo says John Ziegler and girlfriend.
What a keeper and a find, doesn't something like that lead you all over the place to learn more or think about what was in the minds in those days. Your title brought me here.
I wonder was she really a girlfriend or did someone write that on the picture later because they didn't know who it was! Linda we could be related! My Ziegler's lived in Pa at one time long before 1900.

Hi Harriet! I also have Ziegler in my tree. They were living in the Pittsburgh, PA area in the early 1900's.
