Fall Colors

A few weeks ago I posted a picture of my Dogwood tree which was turning brown as you can see it is almost completely brown now. In the middle is a beautiful yellow, our Walnut tree, I'm not sure I can remember it ever being this pretty. Maybe the dry weather has been good for the Walnut tree. Next is a Maple tree which has not turned yet.

Another view of our Dry Yard! The bare spot is where we park sometimes but you can see that most of our grass has died.
We had trash all over the front yard this morning from where someone hit our trash can. The lid of the can is broken completely off. Called Allied Waste and they will come out to repair our can or give us another but it will be next week before they can come.

DRY is the word, Harriet.... We are so desperate for rain... George and I keep watering the flower/plants/shrubs, etc... Otherwise, everything would be dead!!!

We were going to the Smokies today--but changed our minds now that it is cloudy here. I pray that we'll get some rain today or tomorrow.. BUT-it usually just goes around us...

Have a good day--and let's both pray for some rain.
Hugs,
Betsy
