Aunt Betty told us this story about pictures of her. As she said," Her legs weren't bowed, just not straight." When she was in a picture she would turn to one side. cross her legs or bend down. Any pose other than standing straight.

She also told us about her socks. I can remember my Grandmother telling this story too. When Aunt Betty was little and started to school her mother would put knee socks on her. Betty would walk down the road to catch the school bus. When she got out of sight of home she would stop and roll the knee socks down to her ankles. Aunt Betty hated knee socks all of her life, if she had to have socks it was anklets.

Some people are just born to be different - your Aunt Betty sounds like a wonderful character.
